Review Comments: |
They are the only smart company that upgrades the drive system when they put an ortho belt on a model but as most know now, we despise ortho belts. They aren’t much softer than a normal belt and the trade off for the strain they put on the drive system and the heat they hold in simply isn’t worth it. |

The 20” x 57” 2 ply Ortho tread belt is great for anyone that has a longer stride, and the BDS cushioning system helps reduce on joint impact and also minimizes lateral movement while at the same time increasing comfort for a healthier, longer run.
The BodyGuard T280C treadmill also comes with 12 programs. Also included is the JustGo button which is their quick start feature. It jump starts your workout without having to input your information.
Other features included on the T280C are the advance friction detection system (AFDS) which prevents overheating of the motor and shortage of the drive and the electronic stride control (ESC) which controls the speed of the machine to prevent it from suddenly changing pace especially when the treadmill is inclined. The T280C has grip heart rate sensor and chest strap monitoring.
In addition, the T280C boasts a lifetime warranty for its motor and frame, a 10 year warranty for its parts and wear and tear, and a 3 year labor warranty. These warranties are hard to beat especially since this is only a mid-priced treadmill. It simply shows how confident BodyGuard is with their product’s quality.
Strengths:
Great treadmills
Weaknesses:
A lot of people do not care for the Orthobelt.
*Note*
Orthopedic belts are not encouraged. They do not provide much improvement on impact absorption but they put a lot of stress on the drive system. In the long run, it can cause more harm than good. The T280P is a wiser choice. Save the $500.
