Overview

The Proform Trailrunner 2.0 is a great treadmill for runners. It has the power, the weight capacity and the room to handle hard running quite nicely. Normally with a folding treadmill they can't take much of a beating, but this treadmill both folds and has durability. Of course it is iFit compatible like all ProForm machines, so that only enhances the workout. Winner of our Best Value award. The MSRP on this machine is $2499, but when it is on sale for $1299 it is a total steal!

A little about the treadmill: Talk about comfortable. The adjustable Protech cushioning is excellent and has a wide range of settings. It has a full length deck so you have plenty of room while you run. The belt is strong and high quality, and very quiet. It can hold up to 350 lb runners without having problems. Probably one of the most popular features on this is the iFit Integrated 7" touch screen. Proform is paving the way on this exciting technology by putting it on almost all of their units. 

The motor is 3.5 CHP and the running belt is 20" x 60" which are great specs on a treadmill. The machine is able to incline up to 15% and comes with 30 workout programs . It also has a fairly good sound system built into the machine.

Difference
The Trailrunner 2.0 comes about $500 cheaper than the ProForm Trailrunner 4.0. The 4.0 has a slightly stronger motor at 3.8 CHP and includes an intensity control feature for the workout programs. The intensity control basically makes a selected workout more or less difficult. The screen on the 2.0 reaches at 7" and the 4.0's screen reaches 10". Lastly the Trailrunner 4.0 comes with 32 workout programs compared to the 2.0's 30.

Conclusion

Honestly, if you're wanting to save $500 just go with the Trailrunner 2.0. It's a great treadmill with a good number of features and competitive specs. The only things you will be lacking will be a slightly less powerful motor and a smaller display screen.
