St Fitness 4910

A good decision if you need one of the ST Fitness lineups. A lot of their factories have been closing down, but Star Trac has been there to get them through. They have made it further than we thought they would but with the number of factories that fell this year, they really have to rely on Star Trac to help them. The motor is a bit weak for what you’re paying for as it’s a 2.5 HP Continuous Duty DC motor. Anything less than 3.0 chp is not really suitable for any heavy running, but with this model you could probably be able to do some moderate jogging. The tread belt is also a good bit shorter than what we’re used to in this price range. The measurements for the belt are 20″ x 56″. The suspension of the deck and belt does not help at all to cushion your workout. This model seems to be very lacking when it comes to its specs. The incline can go to 12%, the speed has its max at 10 mph, and the weight capacity is 300 lbs.
The 4910 has a contact heart rate monitor that works with the 13 workout programs to help you make a customized workout routine. Other than those programs however, there is not much else to see with this model. Overall this is not a worthwhile model. We recommend a different brand like ProForm instead. A good, comparable model from ProForm would be the Performance 1450. This model has way better specs and features. It comes with iFit Live and has a browser powered by Android.
