The Star Trac E-TR is built to entertain…or so they say. The only exciting feature on this model is not very exciting at all. They added an iPod connector that can charge and the console is pre-wired for E-Series PVS entertainment system. Aside from the failed attempt to add some sort of exciting feature for this model the rest of the specs are great. The 20″ x 60″ tread belt is powered by a 5.0 HP AC motor that is built strong and made from good quality parts. The incline for the deck can go all the way up to 15%, the max speed is even 15 mph, and the weight capacity is 500 lbs.
There are 12 workout programs to use and many of them work in conjunction with the Polar® Telemetry and Contact Heart Rate System. The warranty is fairly reliable as well. It covers Motor & MCB–5-year parts and labor; Other parts–2-year parts, 1-year labor; Wear items–1-year parts and labor; Headphone jack, iPod connector, and USB port – 90 day parts. Overall this is a nice treadmill to own and use, but when it comes to interactivity and entertainment, there are better models from other companies out there.
