Spirit Treadmills

Spirit XT375

The Spirit XT375: A great treadmill with great features.


S pirit is a company that was started in the early 80's and has produced many types of products and started producing fitness products in the late 80's. They are known for product innovation. Their treadmills are typically mid-priced.

Dyaco purchased Spirit a few years ago and all of their production is offshore. The quality has been improving and Dyaco has made a huge investment in the Spirit brand.

The once totally US owned factory is now a subsidiary of Dyaco who hails from Taiwan. The practice of putting good parts in their treadmills has continued once again and they are trying to fill the value segment with many decent choices. With heavy competition from Icon, Horizon, and Pacemaster, it will be interesting to see how they do.

The Z Series offers a motor of 2 to 3 Horse Power and speeds from .5 to 12 MPH, depending on the individual model. Elevations include 0 to 15% incline also depending upon the model.

All of the Z models fold for convience with the exception of the Z900, and the all Z models include hand grip heart rate pulse monitor.

Programs for the Z models include 8, with varying types including user defined, heart rate, and standard programs. All the Z model also includes a Track for user motivation.

The X Series offers motors with 2.5 to 3.5 horse power and speed from 0.5 to 12 Mph. The incline on these treadmills range from 0 to 15%. All of the X models fold for convience with the exception of the XT800.

The entire X Series Line of treadmills offer the convience of fold up storage. The X models all offer Heart rate grip pulse controls and Heart rate control (excluding the XT 8).
