Exercise is extremely important and essential to live a long, happy life. Everyone knows this! But if you find that your exercises are extremely easy and you feel comfortable and relaxed… is it too good to be true? Are you getting the proper amount of exercise? Are you even sweating?
Hmm, these are some very important and interesting questions you need to ask yourself. If it’s too good to be true, then it probably is. Below, you will find out whether or not your exercise is really enough or not.
Exercise is really only beneficial if you achieve one thing: making sure you are getting your heart rate up. When you increase your heart rate, it starts circulating everything in your body. This includes the chemicals in your brain, your blood, and everything else. It’s almost like an instant reset.
So, if you are bouncing slightly to the beat of your music on an exercise ball and you end up giggling rather than gasping for air (because it’s so much fun) then you probably aren’t getting quite enough exercise. This applies to pretty much any exercise, especially swimming. Swimming is great exercise if you are doing it properly. There’s a huge difference between floating around in an inflatable chair and swimming 25 laps.
Anyways, you don’t need to ask anyone if you think your exercise is good enough; you only need good, old-fashioned common sense. And don’t forget; when it comes to exercise (or any other aspect in your life) if it’s too good to be true, then it probably is.
