The Freemotion XTr
OHIYO!
A few people have been asking about the Freemotion Xtr treadmill, one of Freemotion’s Home treadmills. If you just look at the outside specs of this treadmill you’ll probably wonder why it’s priced in the class it’s at. On the outside it looks almost the same as some treadmills that cost about $800 less.
The phrase “you get what you pay for” is true about half the time when it comes to treadmills. Sometimes very expensive treadmills aren’t worth anything more than the budget treadmills. Other times you’ll find treadmills that look like the most advanced, decked out machines ever, priced in the same class as the cardboard treadmills, and you wonder why.
In this case, the phrase is true. Although you pay a little more for this treadmill, and the list of specs and features isn’t extraordinarily long, in the long run, you’ll most likely end up spending less on this treadmill from repairs and parts than with cheaper treadmills. The components of this treadmill are built to take a beating and still last.
From the 3.0 CHP motor, to the composite deck, to the electronics on the console, everything is built to work and last. The only thing that could have been improved upon would be the 2 ply belt. A 4 ply belt is much more durable. Other than that this is an exceptionally built treadmill from the skin to the innards. The warranty offers lifetime coverage on the Motor and the Frame, and 1 year on parts and labor.
More detailed specs include:

Don’t ever be afraid to spend a little more on quality vs quantity. Quality is always more worth it when it comes to treadmills. It will save you a lot of money and trouble in the long run. This treadmill is a perfect example of a quality treadmill that’s worth the extra few hundred.
