iFIT classes are filmed in locations around the world, so you feel like you are running outdoors. The content explores faraway trails and running routes alongside iFIT’s motivational coaches. The 24” touchscreen creates an immersive virtual training experience. There are also training series and challenges to partake in to help you establish a routine.

I jump at every opportunity to “test” the NordicTrack 2450. Why? Because then I get to watch Netflix while at work and while working out! It also has Amazon Prime Video, Spotify, and a few more entertainment apps. You need an iFIT subscription to access these apps, but it adds value that the platform previously lacked.

The NordicTrack 2450 has a maximum speed of 14 miles per hour and an incline range of -3% to 12%. The motor is 4.25 continuous horsepower, so exercisers can regularly use the full speed and incline ranges. That is to say, the 2450 is good for daily long-distance runs.

The speed and incline will automatically adjust when used with iFIT’s training content. The adjustments follow the workout’s preset levels or adapt to your previous performance for personalized training. Additionally, pairing a heart rate monitor activates ActivePulse, which adjusts the speed to keep you in the appropriate heart rate zone.

Many smart features support the NordicTrack 2450’s training abilities. The 2450 has front-facing speakers and Bluetooth audio as an alternative. Peloton Tread

Peloton is more than just Peloton. The Tread now provides Peloton subscribers access to Netflix and more entertainment apps. I’ve been known to read ebooks while running on the treadmill. I know some of you might get motion sickness from such an activity, but Peloton just made this habit even easier for me with a built-in Kindle app!

If you are looking for the highest quality screen, the Peloton Tread is one you need to consider. The screen quality is really nice, but it’s the anti-glare feature that takes it to the next level. Almost every other treadmill has a significant amount of screen glare that takes time to ignore. The Tread is crystal clear every time.

Peloton has Netflix, Disney+, AMC+, DirecTV, Kindle, NBA League Pass, and YouTube. They also have a selection of documentary-style Peloton Originals that give you a look into the lives and training of the Peloton trainers. This selection is great, but keep in mind that we have seen the specific apps change, and we can only report on what we are seeing at the time of writing.

The Peloton Tread is one of my favorite treadmills for manual training. The speed and incline knobs spin easily and are one of the least disruptive methods for making adjustments during a run. There is a jump button in the middle of the knobs that rounds up to the next whole number, which is very helpful for making faster and more precise movements.

Good manual control over a treadmill is really helpful for training while watching TV. Sometimes, I find automatic adjustments too abrupt when I am lost in a show or movie. I recommend the Peloton Tread for anyone who wants to control their workout while streaming entertainment.

A large touchscreen can be a pricey feature on a treadmill. The ProForm Pro 9000 is reasonably priced for a treadmill with a 22” touchscreen. It’s also an excellent running machine! I have enjoyed every run I have done on its cushioned deck. The ProForm Pro 9000 is an iFIT treadmill, and a subscription is required for the best training experience.

The ProForm Pro 9000’s 22” touchscreen is one of the best ways to train with iFIT content. The classes follow trails in every country guided by iFIT’s trainers. Automatic speed and incline adjustments allow exercisers to concentrate on their training rather than pressing a bunch of buttons whenever they need to adjust the speed or incline.

Hydraulic assistance helps users lift and lower the Pro 9000 deck when folding and unfolding. The deck is 20” x 60” and cushioned for good shock absorption. The motor is 3.6 continuous horsepower. Walkers and runners can both enjoy the treadmill for their daily training.

The Pro 9000 has a maximum weight capacity of 300 lbs. The warranty is a little short at only 10 years for the frame, 2 years for parts, and 1 year for labor, but I like its build. I enjoy running long runs, recovery runs, and interval workouts on the Pro 9000.

The treadmill and iFIT experience is incomplete without the support of features. The Pro 9000 has a maximum speed of 12 mph and an incline range of -3% to 12%. Speakers and Bluetooth audio give users two options for listening to iFIT content. Even the fan pairs with iFIT content, speeding up and slowing down based on your training intensity when it is set to Auto.

The Pro 9000 has almost everything you need except a tablet rack. It’s forgivable as long as you have an active iFIT subscription.

Bowflex Treadmill 22

The Bowflex Treadmill 22 ranks as one of our favorite running treadmills. It works best with JRNY’s premium content because all the onscreen content requires that membership. It has entertainment apps and classes.

The Bowflex Treadmill 22 needs a JRNY subscription if you want to use its large display. The 22” touchscreen shows instructor-led content, virtual runs, and entertainment. You can access your Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Max, and Disney+ accounts. There are also music options on the genre radio stations. Again, all of this content requires a JRNY subscription.

The -5% to 20% incline range is the best on a folding treadmill. It is a huge treadmill, but it folds to reduce its footprint to 40%. The deck uses SoftDrop technology to softly lower to the ground when released from its folded position. The deck must be declined as far as possible to fold as compact as possible.

The Bowflex Treadmill 22 has a large running deck measuring 22” x 60”. Its reinforced design is extraordinarily sturdy and can support a maximum user weight of 400 lbs. The Treadmill 22 is for runners with its impressive build. It can support your longest runs with its tank-like build.

You’ll have everything you need to train with extensive storage compartments, a tablet rack, and an included heart rate monitor. The Bowflex Treadmill 22 is an impressively built treadmill that requires a large, dedicated space.

Sole F80 Treadmill

The Sole F80 Treadmill is a more affordable alternative to the Sole F85. It has a slightly smaller screen but all of the same features. The Sole F80 does not require a subscription, so all you need is a subscription to the entertainment streaming service you are trying to access. The Sole F80’s offerings aren’t limited to Netflix. It has some of the most extensive content options.

The Sole F80 comes preloaded with all of the top streaming services, but if there are still others you want to view, you can screen mirror your phone to the F80’s screen. With this feature, the F80’s streaming possibilities are endless. No additional subscription is required to access the built-in third-party apps; you can log straight into your existing account.

The Sole F80 has a 10” touchscreen. This size is enough to deliver a good viewing experience and navigation interface. A smaller screen becomes too hard to see or navigate easily.

Features like Bluetooth speakers, a tablet rack, and a wireless charging pad support the touchscreen. These features are perfect for viewing the built-in content or screen mirroring. The Bluetooth connectivity also allows you to pair a heart rate monitor, like a Garmin watch.

Hills up the intensity of any walking or running workout. The NordicTrack X24 Treadmill has an incline range of -6% to 40% for the toughest experience. Trail runners and hikers have a new option for training at home. You can also watch Netflix—you can’t do that out on the trails!

I only watch Arcane League of Legends on the treadmill, and at the time of writing this, I just started watching Season 2 on the X24. It’s been a great distraction from the difficulty of my run. Combined with the soft cushioning, watching TV shows makes time fly by. I have an easier time increasing my mileage and increasing the pace.

An incline is a powerful variable in treadmill training. With the steep incline range of the X24, you have more options than any other residential machine. Sure, there are a few other contenders with a steep incline, but they have short belts, unlike the X24’s 22” x 60”. The NordicTrack X24 is just as good for fast running as for incline training.

iFIT classes add another layer to the NordicTrack X24’s training abilities. With a membership, you can train with iFIT coaches as they conquer trails around the world. The incline and speed adjust automatically. You can watch the iFIT class or keep it on in the background while watching one of the streaming apps.

Speakers, Bluetooth audio, and heart rate training connectivity accompany the 24” touchscreen. The screen even rotates to view off the treadmill for other iFIT classes or entertainment while doing other exercises.

Echelon Stride-6s Treadmill

Treadmill folding technology has not stagnated. No, brands like Echelon are making clever innovations so you can fit a treadmill even in a tiny space. The Echelon Stride-6s is the compact treadmill with a TV screen your small space needs.

The Echelon Stride-6s Treadmill requires an Echelon membership to unlock training and entertainment options on its 10” touchscreen. You can watch Netflix, browse Instagram, scroll through TikTok, and more. I’ve never seen so many apps on a treadmill as there are on the Echelon Stride-6s. However, you can’t access any of these apps without a membership.

A membership also gives you access to Echelon’s library of live and on-demand classes. These classes are led by an Echelon instructor who guides you through the class with instructions for adjusting the incline and speed. I recommend these classes for new to intermediate runners and walkers of any level.

It’s rare to find an incline option on a treadmill this compact. The console folds down to the deck, and the deck can be propped up vertically onto its motor. It is quite heavy to lift, and some users may not be able to do it by themselves. Alternatively, you can keep it flat on the ground. For how compact it is, it is surprisingly sturdy when running and training at an incline.

Matrix TF50 Treadmill

The Matrix TF50 is a treadmill with a lot of console options. I’m concentrating on the largest display (XUR) for this review, but the TF50 has four total console options. This treadmill is a premium treadmill with great content options and training capabilities. Matrix is better known for its commercial products; you might like to bring the gym experience home.

The Matrix TF50 has a 22” touchscreen preloaded with all the standard apps. There’s Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Kindle, and more. There’s even web browsing. If these options aren’t enough, the console has an HDMI port to connect a device and stream anything you would like. The TF50 also supports iFIT but doesn’t require it for app access.

Walkers will enjoy the TF50, but it was designed with runners in mind. The treadmill is pricey, so it will be best for dedicated exercisers. The treadmill inclines to 15% but does not decline. The maximum speed is 12.5 mph. The motor is 3.25 HP, which is a little underpowered considering what we normally see at this price point.

No premium treadmill is complete without an abundance of features to justify your expense. The TF50 has cup holders, a device rack, and Bluetooth connectivity. The TF50 folds to nearly 90 degrees to save you as much space as possible. The Matrix TF50 has all the right features and a premium construction to deliver a stellar walk or run.

Want a treadmill that’s a little more affordable? The NordicTrack EXP 10i is an iFIT treadmill at a lower price. It has a smaller screen, but it also has a tablet rack. While it isn’t as powerful as the 2450, it has many of the same features.

To iFIT or not to iFIT? You can go either way with the NordicTrack EXP 10i. The 10” touchscreen pairs with a membership to give you access to thousands of trainer-led classes. Like NordicTrack’s more powerful treadmills, the incline and speed adjust automatically to keep you in sync with your iFIT coach.

The deck is cushioned. It’s not quite as soft as the 2450, but it’s still really nice. I like this treadmill for daily walking and easy runs. The deck is only 55” long, so it does not provide as much room for running as most treadmills on this list, but it is great for slower paces. It has a 10.0 mph maximum speed, which is more realistic for this treadmill design.

After working out, you can fold the NordicTrack EXP 10i right up! The deck is pretty lightweight, so it shouldn’t be too hard for most people. It also has hydraulic assistance for easy unfolding. It uses a kick-release lever to unfold, making it super convenient and easy to use!

Lastly, my favorite feature of the EXP 10i is the tablet rack. If you don’t want to pay for an iFIT membership, consider just using this treadmill with a tablet. I know you are looking for a treadmill with a TV screen, but maybe a tablet will do. It certainly gives you more content options and keeps the treadmill cost lower.
