Key Treadmill Features To Look For On Black Friday And Cyber Monday
To help you make sure that your treadmill can do what you need, there are some key treadmill features you should look for as you shop Black Friday and Cyber Monday treadmill deals.
Motor size
The size of your treadmill motor really does make a difference. A quick rule of thumb you can use when browsing treadmills is that a treadmill with a 3.0 CHP motor or larger can be used for jogging and running. Treadmills with smaller motors are better suited for walking and light, occasional jogging.
However, a larger motor can also mean that the noise level is higher. That does not always hold true for treadmills like NordicTrack, but if you are concerned about volume levels, then a motor under 4.0 CHP may be a good option.
Incline/Decline Capabilities

Ever stepped on the side rail? If you haven’t, trust us, it is a jarring sensation. And, while some of our treadmill testers don’t run into this issue, treadmills with shorter deck lengths can be as precarious as too thin treadmill belt widths.
Rather than run the risk of running out of space, be sure to look carefully at the belt size of your prospective 2022 Black Friday treadmill purchase. We tend to recommend that the treadmill belt width be no less than 20 inches wide and that the length be about 60 inches long. That way, no matter your stride, you are far more likely to be comfortable as you exercise.
Display Screen
It may seem like a simple thing, but your treadmill display screen can impact the quality of your workouts. Dark screens that are hard to see can be frustrating to deal with, especially if you are trying to do a HIIT workout or other type of interval training.
