Best iFIT Treadmill: NordicTrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill
The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill is a well-cushioned treadmill with a large screen for viewing iFIT content. The 1750 is a great choice for runners who want to maximize their experience training with the smart iFIT content. The 1750 is an easy choice for the best overall iFIT treadmill, because it perfectly supports runners and walkers without the extravagant cost of other premium iFIT treadmills. The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 has a features and performance list that reflects how the average user will train without putting any features to waste.
NordicTrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill
The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill delivers iFIT content on a 14-inch screen and creates a stellar run with smart performance features.
With our compiled treadmill reviewing experience, we suggest a 10-inch screen or bigger for the best viewing experience. The NordicTrack 1750 has a 14-inch touchscreen, which is just the right size for viewing the digital fitness content provided by iFIT. It’s also just large enough for off-treadmill workouts. The display also tilts and rotates to ensure you always have the right viewing angle on and off the treadmill. There are powerful speakers and Bluetooth audio for listening via headphones or earbuds. The audio can be customized to your preference with individual controls for the music and coach audio.
The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 automatically adjusts the speed and incline settings to match the iFIT content, so you can train hands-free. iFIT even offers heart rate zone training, so if you have a compatible heart rate monitor, you can train in the zone indicated by the iFIT coach. Even the fan has an Auto Breeze setting that allows it to match your training intensity. If you do need to adjust the speed settings, iFIT will adjust the current workout and future workouts to better reflect your fitness level.
The NordicTrack 1750 has a 20” x 60” running belt that is very cushioned. Each footstep is cushioned upon impact, and the belt provides a little spring to help you to your next step. It’s perfect for walkers or runners trying to recover or increase their training intensity. The Nordictrack Commercial 1750 has a 3.5 HP motor which should be sufficient for runners or walkers. Households with multiple daily runners may need something more powerful; the NordicTrack Commercial 2450 could be a good alternative. Walkers and runners who do not need something as powerful could downsize to the Commercial 1250. For most, the 1750 will be the goldilocks option, not too much and not too little.
+ PROS
- The 1750 is a well-cushioned treadmill with a 20” x 60” deck.
- The 14-inch touchscreen is large enough to view and navigate easily.
- The screen rotates and tilts for easy viewing on and off the treadmill.
- There are Bluetooth speakers and audio.
- You can connect a heart rate monitor for zone training.
- The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 folds with the help of hydraulics.
– CONS
- The 1750 is a premium treadmill at a high price, but its build and features will justify it for a lot of users.
- The console shakes a bit when you are running.

Best iFIT Treadmill for Seniors: ProForm Pro 9000 Treadmill
The ProForm Pro 9000 Treadmill is our pick for best iFIT treadmill for seniors. It has a large, spacious deck and a large touchscreen. It is a great machine for runners or walkers who want to train daily. The ProForm Pro 9000 delivers iFIT content in a user-friendly and inviting way. The ProForm Pro 9000 deserves its spot as ProForm’s top treadmill.
ProForm Pro 9000 Treadmill
The ProForm Pro 9000 Treadmill is a large folding treadmill with a 22-inch touchscreen display, perfect for viewing iFIT content.
The ProForm Pro 9000 Treadmill has a 22-inch touchscreen. That makes the experience of iFIT a lot more immersive with quality graphics and beautiful vibrant locations brought to life. This screen size is also fantastic for navigating iFIT’s content while walking or running. The onscreen cues and labels are easier to read, and the buttons are harder to miss. There are Bluetooth speakers and Bluetooth audio whether you want to listen to iFIT content out loud or train quietly. iFIT content also has closed captioning so you never miss your trainer’s cues.
The 20” x 60” running deck ensures you have plenty of room to length your stride without fear of falling off the rear of the treadmill. The treadmill handles are large and supportive to help you on and off the treadmill deck. The footrails are wide and textured to keep you supported while stepping onto the treadmill. The 3.6 CHP motor is suitable for walking or running, and either type of user should have a pleasant experience on the Pro 9000. If you prefer to train exclusively indoors, perhaps following along with a training series from iFIT, the Pro 9000 is perfect for daily use.
The ProForm Pro 9000 inclines and declines. The incline motor is a bit noisy, but the treadmill is otherwise fairly quiet. The incline and decline feature is essential for getting the complete iFIT experience, as iFIT allows the treadmill deck to adjust to match the terrain shown onscreen. If you train with a heart rate monitor, the iFIT programs can also adjust to help you stay in the appropriate heart rate zones. The Pro 9000’s softly cushioned deck will encourage you to go farther and faster in your training, while also potentially helping with recovery from past hard workout sessions. The soft cushion is also great for exercisers returning to activity from injury or surgery.
The ProForm Pro 9000 is a great treadmill with one of the largest available screens in its price range.
+ PROS
- The ProForm Pro 9000 Treadmill has a 22-inch touchscreen display, which is perfect for viewing iFIT content.
- The large display is easier to navigate.
- The ProForm Pro has incline and decline capabilities that perfectly pair with iFIT content.
- The deck is well-cushioned compared to running outside on the road.
- The ProForm Pro 9000 folding using hydraulic assistance.
- The speakers and Bluetooth audio work very well. Closed captions provide another method for following along with the trainer.
– CONS
- The incline motor is pretty loud.
- The Pro 9000 does not have a tablet rack, so you are stuck with iFIT content only.

Best Incline iFIT Treadmill: NordicTrack X22i Incline Treadmill
The NordicTrack X22i is one of the best incline treadmills on the market. Period. It is our pick for the Best Incline iFIT treadmill due to its -6% to 40% incline/decline range. The NordicTrack X22i has a large display and great smart features. The NordicTrack X22i presents a challenge matched by very few other home treadmills. The NordicTrack X22i is perfect for hikers or trail runners who want to train indoors with iFIT’s immersive video content.
NordicTrack X22i Incline Treadmill
The NordicTrack X22i has a -6% to 40% incline range, which is the perfect challenge for hikers or trail runners.
The NordicTrack X22i Incline Treadmill has a feature I didn’t know I wanted until I learned about it: a -6% to 40% incline range. This incline range is extreme. Staying on the treadmill is almost as much of a challenge as taking the next step forward when it is at its maximum incline. The incline handles that bow up around the touchscreen are absolutely necessary. Without them, you would need to crack out the trekking poles to conquer this hill. iFIT does its best to automatically adjust the treadmill grade to match what is shown on the iFIT trainer-led class you have selected. So if your trainer is conquering a steep mountain trail in Colorado, you get to feel like you are there with a matching grade. The experience is fun and immersive.
For all of its intense training capabilities thanks to the steep incline, the NordicTrack X22i also has a very soft running deck. It measures 22” x 60” to give you plenty of space, but it also cushions every foot impact and gives a little bounce to help you on your way. Nothing makes a 40% incline more bearable, but it at least it makes those flat or downhill grades easier when you finally need to recover. A powerful 4.0 CHP motor lets you train on the X22i regularly and push its extensive performance specs to the max. The treadmill belt can accelerate to a maximum speed of 12 mph, but this maximum will be limited at very steep inclines or declines for safety.
The NordicTrack X22i has a weight capacity of 300 lbs and weighs 263 lbs itself. This treadmill is built for performance, and it unfortunately does not fold. This design requires a dedicated spot in your house. We promise you, you will not want to move it around often if at all. Its massive touchscreen display is 22 inches, so you can see all of iFIT’s training content clearly. The audio is Bluetooth and the speakers are powerful. The cup holders are slightly hard to reach, because the incline handles are in front of them. The fan is strong and effective, so you can stay as cool as possible while scaling those mountains.
If the NordicTrack X22i Incline Treadmill wows you, but you think you want a little more screen and even more cushioning, you could also consider the NordicTrack X32i. These are the only two treadmills with such an extensive incline range, and they are really great for trail runners or hikers who need to train indoors when they can’t get to the trails.
+ PROS
- The NordicTrack X22i has a -6% to 40% incline range.
- The touchscreen display is 22 inches.
- The running deck is very soft and bouncy.
- The deck is a spacious 22” x 60”.
- There are incline handles to keep you supported at the top of the incline.
- The NordicTrack X22i has Bluetooth speakers, audio, and heart rate monitoring.
– CONS
- The NordicTrack X22i is understandably a very expensive treadmill.
- The X22i is not a folding treadmill and requires a dedicated space in your household.

Best High-end iFIT Treadmill: Freemotion t22.9 REFLEX Treadmill
The Freemotion t22.9 REFLEX Treadmill takes the prize for best high-end iFIT treadmill, because it is essentially a commercial treadmill made suitable for residential training. Freemotion is better known for its commercial treadmills, but if you fell in love with one of these machines at your local gym or training studio, you will be happy to know you can bring it home. The t22.9 comes at a high price, but there are plenty of perks attached.
Freemotion t22.9 REFLEX Treadmill
The Freemotion t22.9 REFLEX Treadmill is a commercial-grade treadmill for the home. It has phenomenal cushioning and great performance specs.
The Freemotion t22.9 REFLEX Treadmill could be a treadmill you have encountered before in a gym or fitness studio. If you couldn’t shake how great that cushioning felt and how beautiful that screen is, I am happy to report that you can buy the t22.9 for your home! This is a luxury treadmill at a steep price, but it has one great iFIT perk that might help justify the cost. There is a free version of iFIT with this treadmill. That’s right, no monthly subscription is required. You can access all of the treadmill classes on the t22.9 for free. Unfortunately, you cannot create a personalized account that adjusts future training sessions, join challenges or training series, or other profile-dependent features. If you want these features, you can access the paid version of iFIT if you are a subscriber.
The Freemotion t22.9 REFLEX Treadmill almost feels like cheating to me. The deck is so soft and bouncy that I can run paces at a lower heart rate zone than I can outdoors. It is noticeably different. If you are looking for the most cushioned iFIT treadmill, the t22.9 comes pretty close. Its other performance features include a 15 mph maximum speed and 15% maximum incline. The only thing it lacks is a decline option. For the exorbitant price, I want to run downhill to better match the iFIT content. Alas, the t22.9 does not have it, but it is otherwise very impressive with its 5.0 HP AC motor.
There is one very important feature missing from the t22.9’s console: speakers. You can listen to the audio via Bluetooth headphones or earbuds, but there is no option to listen out loud. This seems like a holdover from the t22.9’s commercial design, but we wish that it had speakers you could unlock in the admin settings. There are treadmill staples like cup holders, a fan, and pulse grips. All of these features work effectively and as intended. The console overall is very stable, so you can view all the content clearly on the 22-inch touchscreen. The Freemotion t22.9 REFLEX Treadmill is built for the runner who is committed to training on a treadmill and wants the top experience.
+ PROS
- Freemotion t22.9 Treadmill has one of the softest cushioned treadmill decks with iFIT.
- The t22.9 has a free version of iFIT that allows users to access all of the treadmill training content.
- The screen is 22 inches, which is great for viewing the content and navigation.
- The Freemotion t22.9 has a 15% maximum incline and a 15 mph maximum speed.
- The motor is 5.0 CHP AC which will support intense daily use.
- The fan is powerful and cooling.
– CONS
- The Freemotion t22.9 REFLEX Treadmill is very expensive, though you get what you pay for.
- There are no speakers on the t22.9, so you will need Bluetooth headphones or to use the closed captions.

Best Entry-level iFIT Treadmill: NordicTrack EXP 7i Treadmill
The NordicTrack EXP 7i Treadmill is the most affordable of the NordicTrack treadmills. It is priced over a thousand dollars, but it is a great entry point into one of the most popular home treadmill brands. The EXP 7i is a great treadmill for walkers or runners who are drawn to the iFIT platform, but want to make sure they retain most of their treadmills’ features should they cancel in the future. The NordicTrack EXP 7i is worth it, with or without an iFIT subscription.
NordicTrack EXP 7i Treadmill
The NordicTrack EXP 7i Treadmill is the brand’s most affordable treadmill with enough features to justify the cost with or without a subscription to the iFIT platform.
The NordicTrack EXP 7i Treadmill has a 20” x 55” deck. This smaller size is best for walking, and it allows the EXP 7i to fold more compactly. The EXP 7i also has a smaller footprint than many other iFIT treadmills, measuring only 70.8” x 34.9” x 59.7”. The 2.6 CHP motor is best for walking, but it would work for the walker who occasionally speeds things up to a run. When you are done with your training, the EXP 7i folds compactly using hydraulic assistance. The hydraulic arm will also softly lower the deck to the ground when you are ready to train again. You just have to use the kick release to drop it. The EXP 7i is a great choice for a walker who wants the soft cushion of a NordicTrack and may be tight on space.
Running or walking on the EXP 7i reveals the soft cushioning in the deck. It isn’t quite as shock-absorbing as NordicTrack’s Commercial treadmills, but it is better than running outside or firmer treadmills such as those Sole makes. The shorter length of the deck (55 inches instead of 60) may make the EXP 7i too short for some runners to use comfortably. The NordicTrack EXP 7i does have a reduced speed range of 0 to 10 mph, which should be more feasible for a treadmill like the EXP 7i to handle. Runners will likely be most comfortable at 8 mph or less, especially if they have much longer running strides. For walking, the EXP 7i is perfect. Users are treated to an incline range of 0 to 12%.
The EXP 7i is not without features despite its considerably lower price. It has a 7-inch touchscreen, which is a tad smaller than I prefer for viewing training content. It is also a lot harder to navigate the iFIT interface at this size. However, it does have its advantages. If you are unsure about your commitment to the iFIT platform, the EXP 7i will allow you to train with the service, but you won’t have a giant touchscreen going to waste if you decide to cancel. It’s the perfect compromise for the iFIT dabbler. The EXP 7i has a device rack, so you can view training or entertainment content on your smart device. All EXP series treadmills have this feature, and it is one of the reasons I like this series for users who don’t want to commit to the iFIT platform more than the Commercial series.
+ PROS
- The EXP 7i is NordicTrack’s most affordable treadmill.
- The NordicTrack EXP 7i has automatic incline and speed adjustments.
- The EXP 7i has a very sturdy console, partially due to a lightweight screen.
- The cushioning is great for its price.
- The NordicTrack EXP 7i folds compactly.
– CONS
- The incline motor is loud.
- The screen is a little small but will feel less wasteful if you don’t use it with an iFIT subscription.

Best Budget iFIT Treadmill: ProForm City L6 Treadmill
The ProForm City L6 Treadmill is the most compact and the most affordable treadmill on this list. If you want to divert most of your fitness budget to the iFIT training platform, the ProForm City L6 might just be the way to go. Unfortunately, there are some limitations with the City L6, and it cannot do everything iFIT training allows. However, the ProForm City L6 is a great solution for the walker who is low on space and sticking to a tight budget.
ProForm City L6 Treadmill
The ProForm City L6 Treadmill is a compact walking treadmill with automatic speed adjustments when paired to the iFIT app.
The ProForm City L6 is the only treadmill built to work with iFIT that folds flat. With a press of the foot lever, the City L6’s console can be lowered to meet its deck. This horizontal storage option is great for users who need to stash their treadmills under a piece of furniture or behind a couch. The City L6 has a stored height of only 10 to 13 inches, depending on whether you keep the device rack attached. The treadmill has a tiny footprint of only 70.25” x 29” x 44.5”. As a result, the walking surface is only 17.5” x 45”. The motor is 1.6 CHP. All in all, the ProForm City L6’s design is better for walking than running.
The ProForm City L6’s compact design does not come without limitations. It has a speed range of 0 to 8 mph, but I quickly ran out of space when trying to maintain a run for very long. Runners with even longer strides than mine will find the deck too short. Many users may also find the belt too narrow. The ProForm City L6 does not have incline or decline abilities, which limits a lot of iFIT’s ability to transport you to the trail with terrain-matching incline adjustments. There is also not as much cushioning in the deck as some users may have come to expect from ProForm. The treadmill is best for walkers needing space-saving solutions rather than runners looking for highly versatile treadmills.
Unlike other iFIT treadmills, the ProForm City L6 does not have a touchscreen display. It has only a simple LED console. Yet, the treadmill does pair with the iFIT platform; you will just need to provide your own smart device. With the iFIT app, the ProForm City L6 can make automatic speed adjustments for hands-free training. The built-in tablet rack supports your device, so you can see the training content. Some users may find they have to look further down than is comfortable while they are training. The ProForm City L6 provides a good introduction to iFIT but is also a great space-saving option for walkers regardless of whether they subscribe to iFIT.
+ PROS
- The ProForm City L6 has the most compact storage solution of any iFIT treadmill.
- The City L6 is priced well below one thousand dollars.
- The iFIT app allows the treadmill to make automatic speed adjustments.
- The City L6 has a folded height of only 10-13 inches.
- There is a tablet rack for viewing training and entertainment content.
– CONS
- The treadmill’s construction is not the most conducive to running.
- The City L6 cannot incline or decline.

Best Compact iFIT Treadmill: ProForm Carbon T7 Treadmill
The ProForm Carbon T7 Treadmill is the most compact iFIT treadmill that works with all of the platform’s cool digital features. The Carbon T7 is also part of a really sweet bundle deal that will appeal to budget shoppers. If you are having a hard time justifying the cost of a digital fitness platform like iFIT and a treadmill, wait until you hear about the ProForm+ program! The Carbon T7 is a great treadmill that you might be able to snag for free.
ProForm Carbon T7 Treadmill
The ProForm Carbon T7 Treadmill is free when you pay for a three-year family membership to iFIT.
The ProForm Plus program is one of the best bargains out there. You can have the ProForm Carbon T7 Treadmill and three years of iFIT for the price of only one of those products. It’s a great way to get your money’s worth out of the iFIT digital fitness platform. Since it is a family membership, you can have up to five total user profiles. This means you and four friends or family members can access personalized training with iFIT. This iFIT membership includes treadmill training, other iFIT equipment classes, and off-equipment classes. When the three year period is up, your subscription will renew as a yearly membership.
The ProForm Carbon T7 is a treadmill you don’t want to overlook and not just because of its inclusion in the ProForm Plus program. It also is a very nice treadmill with a smooth underfoot feel. The cushioning is moderate, so not too firm and not too soft. I was really impressed with the Carbon T7 when I ran on it, because it outperforms some of ProForm’s pricier, discontinued treadmills. It has only a 2.6 CHP motor, so it will work best for walking. Some users should be able to run infrequently without prematurely wearing out the motor, but for daily running use, we suggest a more powerful machine. The speed ranges from 0 to 10 mph, and the incline is 0 to 10%. This range is enough for the Carbon T7 to work with the immersive quality of iFIT trainer-led video content and the Google Maps feature.
The Carbon T7 is a folding treadmill. It does not have assisted folding, so you will have to manually lift it and lock it into place. It does have a unique folding feature where the deck hinges in front of the motor hood, leaving the motor parallel to the floor. This design is even more space-saving than traditional folding mechanisms.
The Carbon T7 has a 7-inch touchscreen, which is on the smaller side. I do wish that it had a slightly bigger screen. However, the screen now tilts to help reduce glare from any overhead lights you might have in your space. There’s also an ample tablet rack, so you could use a large tablet to train with iFIT instead of the built-in screen. The tablet rack also allows you to view whatever training or entertainment content you might want with your smart device. Many of the more expensive iFIT treadmills do not provide a device rack nor do they allow you to view non-iFIT content on their built-in screens. The Carbon T7 has all the necessary features for training with iFIT: speakers, Bluetooth audio, and water bottle holders. The only other thing it lacks is a built-in fan. Overall, the Carbon T7 ranks highly as a budget-friendly, smart, and compact treadmill.
+ PROS
- The ProForm Carbon T7 is free when you pay for a 3-year iFIT subscription.
- The treadmill folds very compactly.
- The Carbon T7 has a 0 to 10% incline range for training with iFIT.
- The belt and deck deliver a very smooth run and walk underfoot feel.
- The 7-inch touchscreen tilts to reduce glare.
- The Carbon T7 has speakers, Bluetooth audio, water bottle holders, and a device rack.
– CONS
- The folding mechanism is manual.
- There is no built-in fan.
- The Carbon T7 is not suited to high-intensity running.

Best iFIT Treadmill with Netflix: Matrix TF50 Treadmill
Matrix may be better known for its commercial treadmills, but the brand also makes residential equipment. Matrix has partnered with iFIT to deliver premium training content on its touchscreen displays. The Matrix TF50 Treadmill claims the designation as the best iFIT treadmill with Netflix and other third-party apps. This sturdy treadmill has an intense and durable build that will remind you of a gym treadmill but with console options sure to impress anyone.
Matrix TF50 Treadmill
Matrix TF50 Treadmill has multiple console options, including large touchscreen displays with training and entertainment content from apps like iFIT and Netflix.
The Matrix TF50 has third-party apps galore. The TF50 has Netflix, YouTube, and Spotify to name a few. Some of my favorite options are Kindle, Instagram, and Hulu. But if what the Matrix TF50 supports is not enough, the treadmill also has an HDMI port which allows you to mirror whatever content you want from your smart device. Accessing these apps only requires a subscription if so required by the app itself. You don’t have to be an iFIT member or Matrix subscriber. To view these apps, you will need to opt for the TF50 version with the XUR, XIR, or XER, which respectively are 22 inches, 16 inches, and 10 inches. The least expensive version of the console is the XR, but this is an 8.5-inch LCD display, which is not compatible with the entertainment or training apps.
The Matrix TF50 is a premium treadmill at a matching price point. It has a 20” x 60” running deck and a 3.25 HP motor. Based on the price point, Matrix’s reputation, and our testing of Matrix products, we think the TF50 is going to last longer and perform better than other 3.25 HP motors. Yet, I would have liked to see a stronger motor or an AC motor on such an expensive treadmill. The TF50 has a 400-lb weight capacity and weighs 265 lbs due to its durable steel frame. Matrix covers the TF50 with a lifetime warranty on the frame, motor, and cushioning. Lastly, the TF50 is a folding treadmill with a nearly 90-degree-folding deck and four transport wheels for easy relocation.
iFIT owns a few different treadmill brands, but Matrix does not fall under that umbrella. Instead, Matrix has partnered with iFIT to offer iFIT content on its machines. This partnership combines a near-commercial grade build with one of the most popular treadmill training platforms. The incline range is from 0 to 15% while the speed maxes out at 12.5 mph for great variability during your iFIT training. iFIT is only one of the training options on the TF50. This treadmill also offers onboard content like those traditionally found on gym treadmills and Sprint 8. Thus, this powerful Matrix treadmill performs as well as it entertains.
+ PROS
- The Matrix TF50 has third-party apps from Netflix, Instagram, Kindle, and more.
- The TF50 supports iFIT for fun, trainer-led content.
- An HDMI port allows users to mirror their smart devices onto the touchscreen display.
- The TF50 offers several different console sizes to fit everyone’s needs.
- The deck inclines to 15%.
– CONS
- The Matrix TF50 is a very expensive treadmill with only a 3.25 HP motor.
- The most affordable console option does not support third-party apps.

What is iFIT?
iFIT is a digital fitness platform as well as the name for the parent company of several fitness brands. NordicTrack, ProForm, and Freemotion all fall under the iFIT umbrella, while Matrix has a partnership with the brand. iFIT enables users to subscribe to one training platform for multiple types of equipment. So, if you want to cycle, row, or elliptical in addition to your treadmill workouts, iFIT’s got you! There are even off-equipment classes for yoga and strength training.
With thousands of trainer-led classes from over a hundred different coaches, iFIT has enough content to last you a lifetime. On the treadmill, you can follow these coaches to distant locales to scope out the trails while the speed adjusts to your fitness level and the incline adjusts to the real-life terrain shown on the screen. iFIT treadmills often incorporate large touchscreens, Bluetooth audio, and heart rate monitors to better support the training platform.
iFIT also has a partnership with Google Maps to allow users to create routes almost anywhere in the world. You will train alongside the Street View slideshow of the area, which will increase in speed the faster you are moving along your created route. The incline will also adjust to match the terrain as closely as possible. It’s really fun to explore new places or run on familiar routes to see how they match your memory of them.
A few other notable features from iFIT include Feed.fm radio. The stations include genre and decade stations. The music is always up to date. Whenever I train with iFIT, I hear newly released songs I haven’t had a chance to hear elsewhere. iFIT has closed captioning and the ability to control train and music volume separately. iFIT classes are also available as a part of training series or challenges to keep you motivated multiple days in a row. All of these features converge to create one exciting digital fitness platform.
Factors To Consider When Finding the Best iFIT Treadmill
Where to Train
iFIT is more than just a treadmill training service. iFIT provides thousands of classes from training on and off the treadmill. If you plan to use iFIT for strength and yoga classes, you might want to place your treadmill where you will have plenty of space around it to perform these moves. Of course, you can download the iFIT app to a compatible smart device, be that a phone, tablet, or television. Some iFIT treadmills, like the Commercial series from NordicTrack, allow users to pivot and tilt their screens for easier off-treadmill viewing. While you do not have to use your treadmill screen for non-treadmill training, I advise creating a workout space setup that enables you to get the most out of your iFIT training.
Treadmill Specs
iFIT has some impressive features. First and foremost, I like the speed and incline automatic adjustments. The incline is particularly helpful in helping me feel like I am really out on the trail with the iFIT trainer. I get the most out of iFIT when I am using a treadmill with incline and decline capabilities, but not every user will need these features. Consider how this might change your style of training. Other features like a larger running deck and motor allow you to run as well as walk, while smaller treadmills are better suited to walking only. The treadmill you choose could determine how enjoyable you find the iFIT platform. Larger screen sizes feel more immersive, but smaller screens are more affordable. Regardless of which treadmill you choose, ensure it is the right fit for you.
Subscription Service Loyalty
iFIT is one of the most versatile training platforms. iFIT has content for the treadmill, exercise bike, elliptical, and rower. If you buy other iFIT cardio equipment in addition to your treadmill, you will not have to buy an additional subscription. This is important to consider if you are looking at cardio equipment that is not very iFIT compatible. For users trying to replace their gym membership in the most budget-friendly way, it may be best to consider only iFIT equipment or go with a competing brand. Some of these treadmills are better suited to unsubscribing from iFIT than others. So if you love the products but aren’t sure you will be loyal to iFIT long-term, consider treadmills like the NordicTrack EXP 7i, the Matrix TF50, or the ProForm City L6.
