The ST Fitness’s just aren’t up to par with what they’re charging for them. Either buy them on a ridiculously great discount, or look for a better brand. If you’ve got $3,500 to drop, buy yourself a good treadmill from somewhere else. The 8930’s motor uses 3.0 chp, which is not at all upgraded from the cheaper models from ST Fitness. It does not make sense that this company charges more for this model when it does not improve any of the core specs or add any useful extras.
We do not recommend buying into any one of these models as you can find much better options out there. If you are looking for a top-notch, up-to-date treadmill, take a look at the NordicTrack Elite 9500 Pro. The Elite Pro has amazing specs and a whole lot of extra features will have you entertained for hours. The best part of this model, in complete contrast to the ST Fitness 8930, is that it costs only $1,899. This is a much more realistic price for a good treadmill.
