Treadmill Review

Last Updated: June 9, 2023

A heavy-duty, commercial-grade treadmill, the Life Fitness Club Series treadmill is a tough treadmill that can rival any SOLE treadmill for durability. The Club Series does come at a fairly high price tag which may be a deterrent for many of the home treadmill buyers that we advise here at Treadmill Reviews. However, people looking for a top-quality treadmill for an office gym, hotel, or health club, the Club Series treadmill is an excellent option.

Price

The base price of the Club Series is $5,499. Depending on what add-ons you want when buying this treadmill, this price can increase.

The Club Series Is Built For Users who:

  • Need a highly durable treadmill - Most home treadmill users will not need a treadmill with the ability to run smoothly under constant, heavy usage. But those who are buying for a more commercial setting, the Club Series is perfect.
  • Want a high weight capacity - The Club Series can accommodate a user weighing up to 400 lbs, so a wide variety of users can safely use this treadmill.
  • Have dedicated space for their treadmill - Highly durable treadmills are generally space hogs and the Club Series is no exception. It also does not fold, so be sure you have measured your space carefully before purchasing the Club Series.

Why The Club Series earned 4.1 stars

The Club Series treadmill is a great treadmill and a smooth ride, but some aspects lost it some points with us.

  • Steep price tag - While it is an excellent treadmill, the Club Series treadmill is quite expensive. Considering the many other great treadmill options which are more affordable for home buyers, the cost definitely made the Club Series lose points with us.
  • Warranty is a mixed bag - There is a lifetime warranty on the frame, motor and shock absorbers, as well as a 10-year warranty on the parts and 1-year labor warranty. The 10-year parts warranty is generous but the 1-year labor warranty is somewhat skimpy for such an expensive treadmill.
  • Powerful motor - Life Fitness is one of the few treadmill manufacturers which gives both the CHP and HP of their motors. The Club Series has a 4.0 CHP motor, which has a peak of 8.0 HP.

The high price was the main indicator we used when evaluating the Club Series. If it failed to deliver higher quality specs than more affordable treadmills, it counted against this otherwise great treadmill.

Folding  - The Club Series does not fold.

Club Series Review: Build Quality
  • Warranties - 3 options
  • Belt - 2-ply
  • Roller Size - 3.5 front and back
  • Cushioning - FlexDeck, Shock Absorption System with Lifesprings
  • Customer Support - Phone, email
  • Return Policy - 30-day return policy

The build quality of the Club Series treadmill is top-quality. It weighs over 400 lbs as it is built with heavy-duty commercial-grade metal so it can hold up under heavy usage. The treadmill does not shake or wobble no matter how fast you run, but the sturdiness does not affect the deck.

Equipped with Lifesprings and a shock absorption system, the deck of the Club Series is comfortable to run on. It flexes easily when in use but will hold up. The thick belt is complemented by the 3.5 rollers, which are evenly matched so the belt doesn’t wear down quickly.

There are 3 warranty options you can add to your base warranty when buying a Life Fitness treadmill. The base warranty guarantees a lifetime warranty on the motor, frame, and shock absorbers, 10 years on parts, and 1-year on labor. The add-ons are as follows:

  • Standard (no extra cost) - 5-year parts, 3-year console, and 1-year warranty
  • 3 Year Premium Extended Protection ($299) - 5-year parts, 3-year console, and 3-year warranty
  • 5 Year Premium Extended Protection ($799) - 5-year parts, 5-year console, and 5-year warranty

Bottom Line Review Of The Life Fitness Club Series

The Club Series treadmill is a very good treadmill with a very high price tag. The average homeowner likely does not need the ultra sturdiness and durability that comes with the Club Series. However, if you are looking for a commercial-use treadmill, then the Club Series is a great option.

Best Place To Buy The Life Fitness Club Series

You can find the Club Series treadmills slightly cheaper on sites like Amazon and eBay than from the Life Fitness website. However, you will likely not have any warranty support if you buy from dealers other than Life Fitness. So we recommend you work with the Life Fitness team if you want to purchase the Club Series treadmill.
