Treadmill Review

Last Updated: June 9, 2023

The Nautilus T614 treadmill is a decent treadmill on its own merits. It can accommodate a user weighing up to 300 lbs, has a 2.75 CHP motor, an incline range of 0-12%, and 22 workout programs. However, it falls into a competitive price range and once it is compared to other competitors’ treadmills, the T614 does not hold up well.

Price

The Nautilus T614 is priced at $949.

The T614 Is Built For Users Who:

  • Are walkers or joggers - The T614 is meant for walkers and joggers, not runners. It is not constructed to withstand regular running use.
  • Prefer well-labeled consoles - While it presents a slightly busy look, the T614 console is easy to use as practically all the buttons are clearly labeled, as well as all the console information.
  • Like flexible decks - The deck on the T614 is fairly springy and flexible, which may appeal to some users over those who prefer a firmer deck.

Why The T614 earned 3.4 stars

There is three main aspect which merited the T614 star rating we gave it.

  • Slightly underpowered motor - Many treadmills in this price range have at least 3.0 CHP motors. The T614 has a 2.75 CHP motor.
  • Good treadmill construction - The T614 is a well-built, affordable treadmill which is similar in sturdiness to the SOLE F63.
  • Outclassed by competitor treadmills - While the T614 is a decent treadmill, many of its specs fall short of competitors’ treadmills.

At Treadmill Reviews, we do our best to judge a treadmill on its own merits before comparing it to other treadmills in its price range. However, a key part of ranking a treadmill is comparing it to other treadmills that share its price range. As it stands, the T614 falls short of the best treadmills under $1,000.

  • Weight Capacity: 300 lbs
  • Folding: Yes

Motor Size - A slightly small, 2.75 CHP motor powers the T614. The smaller size does help the T614 run a little quieter than other treadmills in its price range.

Running Area - The T614 has a shorter running area than the top treadmills under $1,000 as it only measures 55” in length and a standard 20” wide.

Weight Capacity - The fairly standard weight capacity of 300 lbs is the max user weight for the T614.

Folding  - Nautilus’ SoftDrop™ is equipped on the T614, which includes a hydraulic system that will help latch the treadmill deck as you fold it up.

Space / Footprint - Measuring 35.2” wide, 72.2” long, and 57.6” high, the T614 is fairly average in size.

Max Speed - Standard in most treadmills, the T614 has a speed range of 0-12 MPH.

Incline - Most treadmills in the under $1,000 treadmill price range had the same incline range as the T614, which has the incline range of 0-12%. However, the ProForm Power 995i has a higher incline ability.

Bottom Line Review Of The Nautilus T614 Treadmill

The T614 is a solid treadmill with decent features. However, as we examined it, we noticed specific areas where it fell short of being one of the best treadmills under $1,000.

  • The SOLE F63 has a larger, 3.0 CHP motor and a weight capacity of 325 lbs, out-matching the T614 2.75 CHP motor and 300 lbs capacity.
  • The NordicTrack C990 is equipped with a 7” touchscreen and 32 workout programs, compared to the T614 LCD and 22 workout programs.
  • The ProForm Power 995i has an incline range of 0-15% and a running area of 60” long and 20” wide, compared to the T614 incline range of 0-12% and running area of 55” long and 20” wide.
Overall, we recommend you check out the above treadmills if you are looking for a treadmill in the price range of the T614.
