HealthRider H70T Treadmill Review – 2019

Reviewed by

SUMMARY: The HealthRider H70T treadmill would be an okay budget treadmill but makes an incredibly poor high-priced treadmill. For all that HealthRider is a sister company to treadmill giants like NordicTrack and ProForm, the H70T clearly shows that HealthRider is not up to the high-end treadmill market.

Treadmill Review

Last Updated: 3/8/2019

We would consider the HealthRider H70T treadmill a decent budget if it had been priced that way. However, the cost of the H70T is closer to our best treadmills under $2,500 without any of the excellent specs these treadmills have. Instead of having a powerful motor and top-notch features, the H70T only has a 2.25 HP motor and very restricted features.Overall, if you are looking to spend around even $1,700 on a reliable treadmill, we encourage you to check out our reviews on the NordicTrack Commercial 1750, ProForm Pro 2000, and SOLE F80.

Price

The H70T costs a surprising $2,599 on the HealthRider website. However, as quite a few of our Canadian readers may have seen, the H70T costs less on the Canadian Tire website, where they currently have it listed for $1,999.While this is a significantly lower price, it doesn’t really lower it enough. If the H70T was under $700, then it may be worth the purchase.

The H70T Is Built For Users who:

  • Are walkers only - With the 2.25 HP motor and budget construction, the H70T is best suited to users who are walkers only.

  • Like simple consoles - The console of the H70T has a well laid out console with clear labeling and easy-to-access programs.

  • Have basic needs - There isn’t much available on the H70T, so users who don’t care about having many workout programs or high-tech features won’t mind.

Why The H70T earned 1.8 stars

On its own, the H70T is a decent treadmill and would be more appealing if it was more affordable. However, due to the fact that it is priced at $2,599, Treadmill Reviews compared it to other treadmills in its price range, and we found it severely lacking.

  • Small motor - With a 2.25 HP motor, the H70T is considerably underpowered, considering treadmills in this price range generally have 4.0 CHP motors.

  • Curtailed warranty - The lifetime frame warranty is the only acceptable part of the H70T warranty. Otherwise, the 25-year motor, 1-year parts & labor warranties are too short for a treadmill of this price.

  • Lacking features - Only 15 workout programs exist on the H70T, with no Bluetooth syncing ability, an LED console display, and grainy-sounding speakers. This is not what we expect in treadmills in this price range.

Even if this treadmill was priced appropriately and measured against our best treadmills between $500-$700, the H70T still is only a decent treadmill and not outstanding.

If you return your H70T within this window, you will receive all your money back, minus a restocking fee of 10%. If there is a problem with the H70T like damage or defectiveness on receiving this treadmill, then you will not have the 10% fee taken out.

Bottom Line Review Of The HealthRider H70T Treadmill

The HealthRider H70T treadmill would be an okay budget treadmill but makes an incredibly poor high-priced treadmill. For all that HealthRider is a sister company to treadmill giants like NordicTrack and ProForm, the H70T clearly shows that HealthRider is not up to the high-end treadmill market. Best Place To Buy The HealthRider H70T Treadmill

Should you still be determined to purchase the HealthRider H70T treadmill, then you should buy directly from HealthRider. You can receive the best price and the correct, new treadmill model when you work with HealthRider. However, for our Canadian readers, this is one one of the rare instances that we recommend you go through a third-party seller. As HealthRider doesn’t seem to sell directly to Canada, you can buy the H70T through Canadian Tire, at a significantly lower price.
