Well-respected in the fitness industry, Matrix treadmills are fairly new to the home gym setting as they only entered the market a few years ago. They have carried over the excellent health club quality they were known for and are rapidly becoming a favorite among fitness enthusiasts.
An interesting feature of the Matrix treadmills is the ability to choose your console. There are three consoles to choose from: the XR, XER, and the XIR. There are different features available on each console, which we will expand on below.
Matrix Treadmill Product Line Summary
There are four base treadmill models in the Matrix line. The features will vary from the base model depending on the console you choose. They break into two series, the TF series and T series.
Matrix TF Series Reviews
The TF series are the Matrix treadmills which have the ability to fold. That is what the “F” in the TF stands for in the treadmill’s name. The starting price for the TF series is $2,499. They have a hydraulic system to make folding and unfolding the deck easier. This is a very helpful feature as Matrix treadmills are heavy and durable.
Matrix T Series Reviews
With the T series, you will need a dedicated space for one of these treadmills. They do not fold up and can be quite heavy. The starting price for the T series is $2,699. The T series has strong motors and the durable deck can accommodate users who weigh up to 400 lbs.

Our Ruling On Matrix Treadmills
While we like the Matrix treadmills, we do admit that they can be a pricey option. Depending on which console you choose, some of this expense can be cut down. However, the XER and XIR consoles are the ones we prefer as they help users utilize the Matrix treadmills capabilities. This does cause the price of the Matrix treadmills to rise to at lowest $2,999, which is a steep price for many looking at home treadmills.
Yet their excellent durability and quality construction do make Matrix treadmills worth considering when looking for your next treadmill.
