Low-cost ellipticals tend to feel less stable than more expensive models when you compare them side by side. But even ProForm’s less-expensive ellipticals are built decently well. They also all come with some type of warranty coverage which lends well to ProForm’s confidence in their products.

Is A ProForm Elliptical Right For Your Home?
When shopping around for the right home elliptical, you’ll see a lot of options, a consistent list of features, and maybe a surprise or two. But there are a few questions you’ll definitely need to answer BEFORE you set off on this adventure.
- Are there any weight restrictions you need to consider? Home ellipticals vary in weight capacities and price doesn’t always signify a heavy weight capacity. If you or a member of your household will need a machine with a 300+ weight capacity, be sure to check that feature on each elliptical you’re looking at buying.
- How much space can you commit to a home elliptical? The footprint of a home elliptical will vary between each model. A sturdier elliptical can be expected to have a broader footprint. If you’re especially tight on space, you may also want to consider a folding elliptical.
- Do you want all the bells and whistles or a less expensive elliptical? Because you can’t have both. It’s pretty safe to assume that extra features like fans, speakers, touchscreen displays, and more come at a cost.
Our Ruling On ProForm Ellipticals
Even the least expensive models have value, considering you get a free 12-month subscription to a really good workout program that pairs with your elliptical. But with ProForm, we generally favor the more expensive models. They just feel better when you’re on them. They move fluidly and the base stays firmly in place giving us zero concern with their stability and ability to handle a lot of heavy use.
